2008 VW Tiguan
First photos of the upcoming Volkswagen Tiguan are finally revealed. Scheduled to be officially presented to the public this autumn at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt, the Tiguan (sorry, but it looks more like an overgrown Golf than a shrunken Touareg) will try to offer both the compactness of a hatchback and some off-road capabilities of mid-size SUVs.

BMW 650i Coupe
BMW has finally unveiled details concerning its facelifted 6 Series coupe and convertible performance vehicles. The range-topping BMW 650i now sports the new eight-cylinder 4.8-liter engine, featuring double-VANOS system and Valvetronic valve control and capable of developing up to 360 hp reached at 6,300 rpm. The engine's maximum torque peaks at 3,400 rpm and reaches generous 360 lb-ft (488 Nm).

Hummer H2 to receive a green diesel engine
General Motors has confessed that it's being silently developing a new Duramax V8 oil-burner to power its charismatic Hummer H2 SUV as well as the pair of Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks. Scheduled to go on the assembly line by the end of year 2009, the diesel will have a displacement of 4.5 liters. Maybe, not so impressive for the local customer, but bear in mind that the engine will be 25 per cent more fuel efficient than its gasoline counterpart of comparable displacement.

German super-tuner Brabus has released its new power upgrade program for the not so recent Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG coupe. Being pretty powerful as it is, the CLS 63 AMG gets its 6.2-liter V8 engine's power further increased to impressive 550 hp with peak torque jumping through the roof and reaching 650 Nm.

VW Touareg receives a tuning kit from JE Design
JE Design's new tuning program for the updated 2007 VW Touareg offers considerable power boost for the SUV's diesel engine, as well as a new body kit. The latter consists of a new front spoiler with cartridges for double headlights consisting of fog lamps and upper beam headlights, a pair of side sills with an air inlet and a rear apron attachment, also available with Park Distance Control system.
