The 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid SUVs are reported to go as many as 21 miles per gallon of gas in the city driving conditions (for the 2WD model), which is 50 per cent better than the same model with an ordinary 5.3-liter V8 powerplant may achieve. The numbers will not be equally impressive on the highway, though, being 22mpg and 20mpg respectively.

Set to reach dealerships in the Q4 2007, the 2008 Cadillac BLS Wagon -actually, the first wagon in the marquee's long and glorious history- will be available with a choice of six engines, including a 2.0-liter 200hp flex-fuel motor. Those green-conscious Europeans will have a chance to order a car equipped with a 2.0-liter Flexpower engine working on E85 bio-ethanol fuel.

The new Lamborghini Reventòn supercar will be limited to only 20 units. Based on the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, the car features the same 650hp, 660Nm 6.5-liter V12 engine, mounted lengthways behind the driver's cockpit and covered with the transparent hood made of glass laminate. Flashy.

German BRABUS has just introduced its new BULLIT super-sedan. You know, Mazda has always tried but has never quite achieved its goal of becoming an automotive design super-star. But now, it seems that the company has finally found its voice. Although clearly influenced by Ford's "Kinetic Design" principles, the 2008 Mazda6 nevertheless looks much better than previous generations of the car and easily surpasses its main competitors like Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima or 2008 Honda Accord.

General Motors has announced that its 2008 Chevrolet Malibu midsize sedan will come to dealerships by November 1, 2008 and will start at $19,345. Although not really expensive, the car nevertheless bears $2,000 heavier price tag than the 2007 year's model and is noticeably pricier than its close competitors, such as Toyota Camry and, probably, 2008 Honda Accord.

Toyota has presented its new 2008 Toyota Vanguard mid-size SUV. Positioned somewhere between the 2008 RAV4 and Highlander, the Vanguard is 179.9 inches long and about 66.9 inches wide and may be ordered in either five- or five-plus-two seating formula (I'm afraid, you just can't call a seven-seater a car, which is 20 inches shorter than, say, Audi Q7 or Mercedes Benz GL-Class that are not real seven-seaters themselves).

Positioned as a warmed-up version of the tiny station wagon, the Peugeot 207 SW RC sports a small-displacement yet really efficient engine, but nevertheless lacks a lot of amenities that make the 207 RC the sports hatchback.

It is likely that 2008 Infiniti G37 sport coupe will soon receive an optional all-wheel-drive package so that the car is able to compete with BMW 335xi, 2008 Audi A5 Quattro and upcoming 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK 4Matic coupe. The 2008 Infiniti M45x is already available with AWD, so it seems as just a matter of time before G37 will get a similar system.
