German tuner Mansory has already made quite a splash with its tuning programs for the Bentley Continental GTC and Rolls Royce Phantom Conquistador. This time they reintroduce their weight-saving Renovatio program for the famous Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren supercar with a two-tone black&white paint job. Because the original Renovatio's color of fake gold was just too disgusting, I suppose.

Lexmaul has finally offered its first tuning program for the Volvo C30 T5 sporty three-door hatchback. Trying to make the C30 T5 an equal to the red-hot VW Golf GTI, the German tuner equipped the car with its own PPC ECU engine upgrade and a high-flow exhaust system adding extra 30hp and 80Nm of torque to the original 230hp and 320Nm of the turbocharged five-cylinder powerplant.

The sporty 2009 Audi S3 (both the three-door hatchback and the five-door Sportback models) will soon get a trendy 7-speed twin-clutch S-Tronic DSG gearbox. While helping to drive down the vehicle's fuel consumption by 0.8 mpg from 33.2 to 34 mpg (6.92 L/100km), the new transmission will also increase the S3's recommended price by 4 - 5 percent.

Hyundai has finally revealed some official info on its Santa Fe Hybrid SUV technology study. Although the concept SUV sports a fuel consumption of only 6.2L/100km (38 mpg US), not the previously announced 5.35L/100km (44 mpg US) level, the gasoline-electric Santa Fe would still be quite an interesting product if it ever hits Hyundai's dealerships.

Mercedes-Benz will soon officially reveal its S400 BlueHYBRID, which is the first hybrid-powered luxury car with the tri-star emblem on its hood. Equipped with a modified 3.5-liter 299hp V6 petrol engine and a disc-shaped 20hp electric motor, the car features the 0-100km/h acceleration time of 7.2 seconds and fuel consumption of only 7.9 liters per 100km (29.8 mpg).

The Bentley Arnage Final Series is both a message and a messenger. The message is quite simple: we are tired of and are retiring the car that topped Bentley's model range for the last decade. Volkswagen has finally released an extensive photo set of its Robust (or, perhaps, Taro) 1-ton pickup truck set to be unveiled at the 62nd IAA Commercial Vehicles Show in Hanover scheduled from 25 September through 2 October 2008. Although VW is not readily associated with this kind of workhorses, the company's designers have managed to make the muscular concept truck a true Volkswagen. Audi has released the final specs of its upcoming 2009 Audi Q7 V12 TDI performance SUV. Powered by a mighty but fuel efficient V12 diesel engine, the premium SUV will take only 5.5 seconds to accelerate from zero to 62mph and will deliver fuel efficiency of 20.8 mpg (11.3 liters of diesel fuel per 100km). Not bad for such a monster of a car.

Although the new Mercedes-Benz C 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY Prime Edition limited edition compact sedan sports an extensive list of interesting features, its main point is the new high-clean diesel engine. Consuming only 5.2 liters of diesel fuel per 100km (that roughly converts to impressive 45.2 mpg), the relatively small 2.2-liter oil-burner delivers 204hp and 500Nm of torque and takes only 7.0 seconds to accelerate the car from zero to 100km/h.

Nissan reportedly plans to update its Infiniti M35 mid-size sedan with a more powerful version of the 3.5-liter VQ engine. Called the VQ35HR and first featured in the second-generation Infiniti G35 almost two years ago, the new V6 has a maximum power output of 303hp and a peak torque of 355Nm (326lb-ft). It will power both the 2009 Infiniti M35 and the sporty all-wheel drive M35x.
