The new Jeep Wrangler Ultimate concept vehicle will be demonstrated at the upcoming SEMA show in Las Vegas from 30th October to 2nd November. Guys from Mopar design studio have equipped the Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, which was chosen as the base model, with a powerful 392 HEMI engine, adding larger wheels, new tires and putting chrome-clad parts all over the car.

Based on the 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, the extra-rugged Jeep J8 is versatile enough to go to military service. It won't replace the legendary HUMVEE, though.

The new 2007 Jeep Wrangler and the 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited will cost significantly less than their outgoing relatives. Chrysler has confirmed that an average price of the new generation Wranglers will be about $1,200 lower than that of the current models. Praise the Japanese, ladies and gentlemen!

Chrysler has at last decided to add a diesel-powered trim to its 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee line-up. The company doesn't give any details yet, but it's known that the diesel engine will be outsourced from Mercedes.

Chrysler's new controversial Jeep Compass in a basic configuration will cost less than $16,000, including a $560 destination charge. Seems that Chrysler Group has decided to start a little price war against its main competitors in this niche: the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V and Hyundai Tucson.
