Opel Ampera, the long-awaited plug-in hybrid vehicle motivated by GM's Voltec technology currently employed in the Chevy Volt PHEV, will be officially unveiled at the 2009 international motor show in Geneva.

The British Vauxhall is going to start selling a VXR styling kit for its sporty Astra TwinTop coupe-convertible. With a price starting at £1399 (installation and painting to body color included), the kit will be a nice extra for a TwinTop owner.

GM plans to bring to the European market a family of electric cars built on its E-Flex architecture. The EV invasion will be led by the already famous Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid (pictured).
