Set to start production of its long-awaited Artega GT exotic, Paragon is thinking about introducing a convertible version of the car. The small but powerful vehicle will have to compete against the revered Porsche Cayman, so it's clear that it must be offered in at least two versions: a coupe and a convertible or, perhaps, a targa.

Pininfarina's EV will be produced in San Giorgio
The Italian coachbuilder Pininfarina has officially confirmed its plans to relocate production of the Alfa Romeo Brera hatchback from its plant in San Giorgio to Bairo. The production facility will be used to build the yet to be unveiled pure-bred electric vehicle.

Smith Ampere electric van introduced in Birmingham
The U.S.-based Smith Electric Vehicles has finally launched its Ampere electric van. Unveiled at the Commercial Vehicle motor show in Birmingham, U.K., the EV is built around the new Ford Transit Connect chassis, has a GVW of 2340kg (5158 pounds) and carries up to 800kg (1763 pounds) of cargo.

Hennessey Venom GT Concept: a wannabe Veyron killer
Houston-based Hennessey Performance Engineering has finally revealed the first sketch of its upcoming performance concept car. Called Venom GT, the concept will house a powerful Venom 1000 Twin Turbo Viper V10 powerplant inside its light weight mid-engine chassis. The American company plans to make the Venom GT a decent competitor to VW's ultra-expensive Bugatti Veyron sports car.

Artega GT prototype premiered in Geneva
German electronics supplier paragon has unveiled in Geneva a preproduction prototype of its first sports car. Designed by famous Henrik Fisker who has the BMW Z8 and Aston Martin DB9 coupe on his consciousness, the Artega GT is a small toy-like sports car, which nevertheless promises not only a decent supply of power but also enough living space for two grown-ups, their kid and even a spacious luggage compartment.
