Morgan AeroMax Coupe to go into production
After extensive examining of the problem, the Morgan Motor Company decided to commence preparations to production one of the most retro-futuristic custom-built coupes in the world. The Morgan AeroMax Coupe, which will be limited just to one hundred vehicles, will see its first buyer in January 2009.
The Morgan plans to assemble about 1-2 AeroMax Coupe per week, so as to ship the last car in the series by January 2009 when the company steps in to its Centenary year.
Estimated price of the vehicle set to be around £94,000 + VAT. The British company plans to sell the AeroMax Coupe on a first come first served basis.
If the specs haven't changed, then, according to this piece at about.com, the car will feature a 333 hp BMW V-8 engine married to a six-speed ZF manual gearbox. The Morgan AeroMax Coupe will be able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds and develop maximum speed of 160 mph.
