Mercedes Benz proudly presents its SLR McLaren 722 Edition
The slightly modified version of the famous Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren commemorates Stirling Moss' and his co-pilot Denis Jenkinson's victory at the legendary Mille Miglia race in 1955, won by a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR with a 722 starting number.
The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Edition sports a 5.5-liter V8 with a supercharger and maximum power output of 650 horsepower. That is 24 hp more than the standard SLR's engine capable to achieve. No wonder that the 722 Edition accelerates from zero to 62 mph in just 3.6 seconds (0.2 seconds better than the standard SLR), from zero to 124 mph in 10.2 seconds (0.4 seconds better), and features a top speed of 209.4 mph (1.9 mph better).
There are, of course, some other enhancements, too. The new SLR 722 Edition comes fit with 19-inch light-alloy wheels, 10mm lowered ground clearance, modified front spoiler and rear diffuser and larger brake disks.
