German Startech offers a tuning kit for the Jeep Commander

European customers, which happen to own one of the Jeep Commander 3.0 CRD, can now order a tuning kit from Startech to boost the SUV's power output and give the vehicle more distinctive appearance.



Inside Line reports that the SD6 tuning kit from Startech gives the 218 hp V6 turbodiesel additional 44 horsepower and boosts its torque from generous 376 to mighty 428 lb-ft (580 Nm), available between 1,600 and 2,600 rpm. Additional power makes the SUV run a little faster, decreasing its 0-60-mph acceleration time from 9.0 to 8.5 seconds and increasing its top speed from 119 to 124 mph.

The aero kit consists of a new front apron and grille, rocker panels with integrated LEDs, chrome mirror moldings and rear apron. Although, the overall looks of the kit is, err, debatable, the tuned Jeep Commander looks more outstanding, indeed. Like you've imported it right from India, you know.
