2007 Cadillac SRX gets a price hike
The refreshed version of the current Cadillac SRX not only will sport a more luxurious, previously available only as an option, standard interior, but will also slap you with a higher sticker price, which will now start at $37,490 (a $745 destination charge included).

Inside Line says that the 2007 Cadillac SRX will get a standard faux wood in its cabin and will also feature an optional real East African Sapele wood for the first time. Together with a DVD navy, a sunroof and adjustable pedals, the package will set you back to a generous $1,500.

The magazine predicts that a 'loaded' SRX with all-wheel drive, V8 engine and a third-row seat will cost at around $50,000.

The list of available packages goes on and on. There is a sport package, for example, consisting of alloy wheels, a body-color grille and rear fascia, two exhaust pipes and a wire-mesh treatment behind the grille. The one with 18-inch tires will cost $3,200; and the one with 20-inchers is priced at $3,945. And if that is just too much, you can always order a set of 20-inch wheels alone for $1,700.

If the money is burning a hole in your pocket, there is a new $2,345 Bose 5.1 Cabin Surround digital audio system, a six-speed automatic gearbox, flush-mounted switches and so on.
