Officially
announced today
2007 Porsche 911 Targa (997) models will be sold in all-wheel-drive versions only. The new stunners will be available in two versions:
911 Targa 4 and a more powerful
911 Targa 4S, each featuring flat-six engines with different displacements.
Posted by: nektotigra on 17/07/06 The 'entry-level', if you don't mind, model comes with a 3.6-liter engine, featuring a maximum output of 325 hp and maximum torque of 370 Nm @ 4,250. The engine provides the
911 Targa 4 with a top speed of 175 mph and a zero-to-62 acceleration of 5.3 seconds.
More powerful 3.8-liter engine sports 355 hp of power and 400 Nm of torque available at 4,600 rpm. Accordingly, 4S' top speed reaches 180 mph and 0-62 acceleration is being lowered to 4.9 seconds.
Both vehicles will be supplied with a six-speed manual transmission, or may be ordered with an optional
Tiptronic S automatic. The basic euro-price for the
911 Targa 4 is €79,000, or €87,900 for the
911 Targa 4S.
