Tesla Roadster to be built by Lotus

Tesla Motors and Group Lotus have signed a manufacturing agreement to assemble the American EV at Lotus' plant in Hethel, Norfolk. The agreement doesn't come as surprise, since mechanical parts and body of the Tesla Roadster were designed by a team headed by Barney Hatt, principal designer at the Lotus Design Studio at Hethel.







BIZOnline is reporting that currently Tesla Motors hopes to sell up to 1,000 roadsters a year at a price of around $100,000.
