Opel Vectra Wagon/Caravan to be imported as a Saturn?
General Motors reportedly plans to import into U.S. the next-generation Opel Vectra station wagon rebadged as a Saturn. The main goal is to annually sell about 50,000 those Opels/Saturns, says AutoWeek, citing some anonymous sources in GM Europe.
The magazine reports, that the next generation Vectra will still be assembled in Germany at Opel's Ruesselsheim plant and then shipped to the United States. It is reported that the Vectra will be based on the future Epsilon platform, shared by the next-generation Pontiac G6, Aura and Saab 9-3. The car will presumable feature a V6 engine and all-wheel-drive.
