Audi S3 finally arrives

The new Audi S3 sport hatchback comes equipped with an advanced TFSI engine, delivering 265 bhp at 6,000 rpm and featuring impressive 350 Nm of torque, available from 2,500 through 5,000 rpm.

This power is just enough to provide the car with acceleration from zero to 62 mph of just 5.7 seconds and electronically limited speed of 155 mph. Audi claims that S3's engine is not only powerful, but is also fuel-efficient, too: the car consumes only 9.1 liters of gas for every 100 kilometers (that's about 25 mpg).

Outside, the new Audi S3 features the same... err... controversial single-frame grille with chrome coating, as well as a front spoiler with larger air intakes. The rear skirt features a platinum grey diffuser, as well as a couple of S-style oval tailpipes also with chrome finish. As if that's not enough for an average S-class buyer, some aluminum has been added to door mirrors. The roof spoiler is painted in body-color.
