Citroen C4 Picasso to debut in Paris

Citroen plans to launch its new C4 Picasso van at the upcoming motor show in Paris, which is to open in September. Sitting between the full-size MPV Citroen C8 and the compact but popular Berlingo Multispace, the new C4 Picasso features an enormous panoramic windscreen, new six-speed electronic gearbox, and an original seat-folding design.

Citroen says that the C4 Picasso will be equipped with a 143 bhp 2.0-liter gasoline engine, or with one of a pair of diesel powertrains: a 110 bhp or 138 bhp HDi engine, equipped with a Diesel Particulate Filter System and mated with the aforementioned six-speed gearbox.

The vehicle's loadspace displaces 576 liters under the parcel space and about 1,951 liter with the seats folded down. Both second and third rows can be hidden under the floor, without the need to remove the headrests.

Besides these enhancements, the new C4 Picasso may be ordered with a rear air suspension, automatic four-zone climate control, a removable boot light/torch and ambient interior lighting, an automatic electric parking brake, a parking space measurement system, video screens and a DVD player, the French company says.
