Honda Jazz/Fit gets the most reliable car's crown
British magazine Which? has found that smaller, cheaper cars are, as a rule of thumb, more reliable than their luxurious counterpart. And, at least in Great Britain, the most reliable car is the small Honda Jazz city zipper, also known in the U.S. as Honda Fit.

The vehicle, Which?'s 2006 survey shows, scored 95 per cent. The score was based on answers of owner of more than 32,500 cars. Reliability of the vehicles in question was calculated based on the total number of faults, niggles and breakdowns registered.

As to the Honda Jazz, there was not a single breakdown and just 'a handful' of faults and niggles among all 406 Hondas surveyed.

The second place is shared by the Honda Accord and CR-V, Mazda 3, Renault Clio (outgoing model), Toyota Corolla, Vauxhall Corsa (outgoing model) and the Subaru Forester. All the mentioned vehicles received 92 per cent for reliability.

It's pretty strange, but no so called luxury car has achieved even 'good' reliability score. Both BMW 5er and the Jaguar S-type got only 83 per cent, and the Mercedes-Benz's E-class got its share of disgrace.

Well, if you are already considering exchanging your new and shiny Bimmer for some cheaper and more reliable wheels, there is a prove that 'cheaper' still doesn't mean 'more reliable', 'cause Ford's C-Max small MPV received the title of the least reliable car in the U.K. scoring only 78 per cent. The Jaguar X-type, Nissan Primera, Renault Mégane and Renault Scénic did not fare much better, managing just over 80 per cent.
