Citroen C8 to run on biodiesel
Citroen has added a pair of new diesel versions of its C8 MPV, capable of running on 30 per cent ethanol diesel fuel.
Both versions come as C8 2.0 HDI but feature different engines. The more powerful produces 136 hp and 236 lb-ft (320 Nm) of torque. The engine, available with a particulate filter, replaces an older 130 hp 2.2 HDI. The Citroen C8 with this kind of powerplant will feature 40mpg and will cost as low as £20,025, including £3,000 cashback.
The second version comes with a 226 hp / 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) engine featuring 41 mpg and costing £18,000 only.
Both models are available with standard six-speed manual transmission, climate control, an alarm, remote-control sliding side doors, automatic wipers and rain-sensing wipers, as well as six airbags, stability control and traction control.
