Honda Civic Hybrid wears the shield

London Metropolitan Police has acquired 117 new Honda Civic Hybrids to be put on duty. The hybrid vehicles are leased on a two-year/24,000-mile contract.







TheAutoChannel is reporting that all the Honda Civic Hybrids will be used by the MP's Community Support Officers as part of a Safer Neighborhood scheme, which is supposed to give Londoners a little bit more security (or of a feeling thereof) through a little bit less of privacy. It is planned, that officers will use Civic Hybrids to get from their police stations to the foot patrol area.
