Peugeot 607 is now available with twin-turbo diesel

Previously horsepower-challenged Peugeot 607 executive sedans have finally received more or less powerful 2.2-liter twin-turbo HDi diesel engine. The new powerplant produces a maximum of 170 hp @ 4,000 rpm and a considerable 277 lb-ft (375 Nm) of torque from as low as 1,500 rpm.







The engine not only powerful -- it provides for a decent mileage, too, returning about 44.1 mpg in the combined cycle.

The Peugeot 607 HDi will cost UK customers £26,495. For this money you'll get CD-changer, standard satellite navigation system, eight airbags, and built-in phone, 4Car News is reporting.
