Mazda To Present Its BT-50 Pickup in Bangkok
The new Mazda BT-50 1-ton pickup truck will be unveiled during the 2006 Bangkok Motor Show that will be held from March 22 through April 2 in Bitec. Bangkok Post Business is reporting that the new truck will replace older Mazda Fighter being sold to the local customers. Edmunds.com says that the new BT-50 is essentially the same Mazda B-4000 pickup well known to the Americans.
Anyway, the car features either 3.0-liter or 2.5-liter new MZR-CD direct-injection turbo diesel engine with common-rail system. Unfortunately, Mazda doesn't go into details yet as to their performance and fuel consumption, although claiming 'an exciting blend of sophisticated design, refinement, responsive handling and dynamic performance'.
The Japanese company plans to also show-off its new Mazda MX-5, Mazda3 and Mazda RX-8 models.
