Heico tuning for Volvo S80

German tuning specialist Heico Sportiv has presented its tuning program for the second generation Volvo S80 luxurious sedan. As usual, the program consists of engine and suspension modifications, as well as new set of wheels and some external enhancements.



Engine upgrade

Heico didn't dare to touch mechanical parts of the 2.5-liter diesel engine and simply upgraded software that runs engine's ECU, increasing engine's maximum power output to 210hp and peak torque to 460 Nm. After the upgrade it takes the tuned Volvo S80 less than 8 seconds to crawl from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) and its top speed is increased up to 235 km/h (146 mph).

The car is than supplied with a new stainless-steel exhaust system with two chrome oval 120x74 mm exhaust tips available for the 2.4D, D5, 2.5T and the 3.2 engines.

New wheels

There is, of course, a new set of Volution V five-spoke wheels. Looking somewhat dull, the wheels nevertheless look pretty much in line with the S80's overall styling. The wheels are available in "Titan" and "Bright Silver" colors and in 8x18", 8x19" and 8.5x20" sizes.
