AC Schnitzer TENSION Street Version to go into production. We are all doomed

German super-tuner AC Schnitzer plans to assemble a small party of its extreme AC Schnitzer TENSION Street Version based on BMW M6 coupes. After almost a year of R&D, AC Schnitzer will produce only 50 TENSION Street Version vehicles.







The TENSION Street Version is based on the highly successful Concept Car AC Schnitzer TENSION based on the same BMW M6 coupe. Of course, street legal version could not be made an exact copy of the concept for both suitability and reliability reasons.

The new AC Schnitzer TENSION Street Version coupe features new aerodynamic package with new bonnet with larger air outlet, and new front, back and side skirts, which give the vehicle lower appearance and at the same time increase the downforce on the front axle making the car more stable and controllable. There is also a new, rather controversial looking, boot lid on the car's rear.

The vehicle is painted in a be-color scheme.

The car, company is reporting will be fitted with a new set of wheels 9.0J x 20" on the front and 10.0J x 20" on the rear mated with tires of sizes 245/35 ZR 20 and 285/30 ZR 20 respectively.

Of course, the AC Schnitzer TENSION Street Version may be ordered with the new AC Schnitzer 5.1 l engine. Featuring 550 Nm of torque and a maximum power output of 411 hp, the engine helps push the coupe's top speed by impressive 35 km/h.
