Ford Edge will cost less than $26, 000
The 2007 Ford Edge crossover will go on sale this November and will start below the $26,000 mark for the front-wheel drive model. The basic Ford Edge AWD model will cost almost $2,000 more.

The new Ford Edge will be sold in two trims: basic SE and top SEL. These will be equipped with only one 3.5-liter V6 mated to a six-speed automatic and capable of producing a maximum of 265 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque.

The Ford Edge SE trim will come with standard front-wheel drive, rear spoiler, second-row 60/40 split fold-flat seats, MP3 audio input jack, 17-inch painted aluminum wheels and dual exhaust. The crossover will carry such safety features as AdvanceTrac with RSC, ABS, Safety Canopy with rollover sensor, front- and front seat side-impact air bags, occupant classification system, adjustable head restraints and LATCH system.

More exclusive Ford Edge SEL package will feature standard dual electronic temperature control with particulate air filter; exterior puddle lamps; heated seats and heated exterior mirrors; leather trimmed front and second row seats; memory seats; memory exterior mirrors and steering wheel climate controls.

A list of options for the trim include but not limited to 18-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels or 18-inch painted aluminum sport wheels, DVD-based Navigation system with Audiophile sound system, rear-seat DVD Entertainment System, and a two-panel panoramic VistaRoof with dual power shades.

Both SE and SEL trims may be also fitted with all-wheel drive transmission, SIRIUS satellite radio with six-month subscription and a Class II Trailer Towing (for up to 3,500 lbs. maximum towing capability).
