2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 executive SUV will arrive to European dealerships as soon as next January. Meanwhile, you may consider buying its smaller and less expensive brother -- the 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 with a 2.7-liter turbo-diesel V6 engine.
Speaking of prices, the
Range Rover Sport TDV6 will start at $67,000 while the
TDV8 will cost just shy of $100,000. Although 50 per cent more expensive, the TDV8 will deliver only 40 per cent more power and torque than the smaller
Range Rover Sport, so I guess there is no linear correlation between gaining in price and gaining in power.
Perhaps, the premium price of the Range Rover Sport TDV8 will be partly compensated with such standard equipment as adaptive cruise control, navigation, voice recognition, electronic front seats, adaptive automatic transmission and dual alarm systems.
Land Rover still keeps silence on whether the turbo-diesel version of the premium
SUV will cross the Atlantic Ocean.
