Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Ron Fellows Edition: wealth and glory to the winner!

This year, GM is going to sell a limited lot of the white-hot Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Ron Fellows Edition super cars. Visually, you will be able to distinguish the Z06 RFE from the rest of the pack by their new Arctic White paint job with a pair of red fender stripes and a Ron's facsimile somewhere on the car (couldn't find one, sorry.)

They are also designated from the rest of the Corvette crowd by a full-width rear spoiler and a set of polished ten-spoke AMG-style (WTH?) aluminum rims.

The Z06 Ron Fellows Edition production will be limited to a small lot of 399 units. That's how General Motors is going to celebrate the Canadian racer's contribution to the success of the Corvette racing program in both American Le Mans Series and the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans races.

That's not all, by the way. The reason why I've decided to write this post is that 33 of these gorgeous vehicles will be delivered to the European market. So, there is still a good chance that yours truly will at least actually see one of these beauties on the road.

Based on the latest Corvette Z06, the Ron Fellows Edition sports the LS7 V8 engine capable of producing up to 512 hp @ 6,300 rpm and mated to a rear-mounted 6-speed transaxle.

With its 0-60mph acceleration time of only 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 199mph, the vehicle pretty much qualifies to join the super cars ranks.
