2009 Ford Flex crossover SUV to go on sale next summer
Ford has finally unveiled its 2009 Ford Flex crossover SUV. Based on the 2005 Ford Fairlane concept, the Ford Flex is essentially a family van in a CUV's cloth.

2009 Ford Flex crossover (back)
Planned to go on sale in the summer of 2008, the Flex will be offered with the AWD (all-wheel-drive) transmission powered by the same 3.5-liter V6 engine installed in the Ford Edge crossover. The car will be equipped with a six-speed automatic gearbox.

KickingTires says that the cars will come to market with side and curtain airbags for all three rows of seats and standard stability control.
