Saab Unveiled its First Zero-Emission BioPower Hybrid Concept
The new Saab BioPower Hybrid Concept features not only fossil-free hybrid powertrain but also stunning acceleration. While it takes its equivalent Saab 9-3 Convertible about 8,8 seconds to jump from zero to sixty miles per hour, the BioPower Hybrid Concept needs only 6,9 seconds to reach the same speed.

Saab Unveiled its First Zero-Emission BioPower Hybrid Concept
The power comes from its 260 hp 2.0-liter 100% aluminum modified turbo BioPower engine that works on pure (E100) bioethanol fuel, an auxiliary 38 kW electric motor, and 15 kW integrated starter generator. It's the first time that engineers successfully combined a fossil-free engine with electricity.
