2007 Seat Altea XL with TFSI engine
Spanish SEAT has updated its SEAT Altea XL product range with a TFSI turbo-charged engine with petrol direct injection technology. Featuring displacement of only 1.8-liters, this sophisticated and responsive engine produces up to 160 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque available at a wide range of 1,500 to 4,200 rpm.

So, it's really not a wonder that not so small people mover takes only 8.6 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h and reaches a top speed of 210 km/h. Acceleration on the higher gears is also pretty impressive, since it takes the SEAT Altea XL 1.8 TFSI only 10.4 and 13.3 seconds to accelerate from 80 to 120 km/h in fifth and sixth gears respectively.

As to the mileage, expect your Seat Altea XL to drink about 10.5 liters of gasoline in city driving and 6.2 liters on the highway, which is only 7.7 liters per 100 km in a combined cycle.

The only problem, perhaps, is that the 1.8 TFSI engine is currently available only in a more expensive Sport-up trim, which comes with standard ESP + DSR, and EBA.
