Volkswagen Golf GT Sport replaces Golf Sport and GT trims
Volkswagen's new VW Golf GT Sport trim package will replace the outgoing pair of Golf Sport and GT packages. Providing the conservative-looking VW Golf with meaner and up to the point external appearance, the package gives you the chance of buying a hot-looking car at a price of an ordinary hatchback.
Well, it's not an ordinary hatchback anyway, since the VW Golf GT Sport trim will be available only with the 140PS and mighty 170PS models equipped with either 1.4-liter TSI or 2.0-liter TDI engine married to a six-speed manual or the famous DSG gearbox.
The package can be recognized by its black-colored grille section (the chrome-plated one is simply hideous, isn't it?) with a set of horizontal fits, new fog lamps, as well as new alloy CassiXs 17-inchers fitted with 225/45 R17 tires.
Inside, you'll find new front sports seats, leather-trimmed three-spoke steering wheel, electric windows, Climatic air conditioning, and a CD stereo system with eight speakers.
Active security is ensured with the help of ABS and ESP systems. Of course, there are also automatic light sensing headlights, rain sensing windscreen wipers, and six airbags.
As of now, the Volkswagen Golf GT Sport trim is available only in the U.K. and its price varies from £17,422 for the 1.4-litre TSI 140 PS engine, to £21,352 for the range-topping five-door model equipped with the 2.0-litre TDI 170 PS engine with DSG.
