Artega GT will arrive next summer
The long-awaited sports car Artega GT will arrive to dealerships in the summer of 2008, German magazine Automobilwoche is reporting citing Artega's spokesman Klaus Dieter Fers.
Available at an approximate price of €75,000, the Artega GT will be manufactured in at least 500 copies and the production will hopefully be further extended if the car proves a commercial success.
The two-seater first unveiled at the last motor show in Geneva, will be less than 4 meters long, weigh about 1100 kg and will be powered by VW's 3.6-liter FSI V6 engine, capable of producing up to 300 hp. With all this power, the car will take less than 5 seconds to jump from zero to 60 mph and will have a top speed of 168 mph (270 km/h).
