Current Mercedes-Benz CLS-class may well be one of the most elegant models on the market but certain kind of people is not satisfied with its smooth lines and curves. It's too glamorous for them, I guess. So, the new CLS350-based ART GTR 374 sports car is just for them. It's rugged; it has a pair of racing strips on its hood. And it is so ugly you don't need a stun gun to guard it.

Well, ugly it is but it is pretty powerful, too.

ART's engineers have equipped the CLS with their own AK35 supercharger system featuring a charge-air cooling system with heat exchanger. With this hell machine installed, the CLS350's original 3.5-liter V6 engine's max power output rises to 374 hp and the torque now peaks at 376 lb-ft (510 Nm).

The German tuning company stays mum about the GTR 374's maximum speed or zero to 60 acceleration time, but its speedometer has a scale limited to 360 km/h (225 mph) so it must be pretty fast.

As to the ART GTR 374's appearance package, it consists of much broader set of fenders with warm air outlet vents on the front, widened side skirts, widened car doors as well as broadened rear side panels with integrated air inlets located in front of the rear wheels. Its rear bumper skirt comes with an integrated diffuser and the rear lip spoiler.
