2007 Infiniti G35 Sedan unveiled
The Nissan-owned luxury brand has officially unveiled its new top-of-the-line 2007 Infiniti G35 business sedan.
Considering the fact that the G35 accounts for about 1/3 of all Infinity-branded cars sold in the U.S., success of the redesigned version is crucial for the Japanese automaker.
On the North American market the car will have to compete against such compact preditors as the 2007 BMW 335i, Lexus IS 250, 2007 Audi A4 and the 2007 Mercedes-Benz C320. No wonder that the 2007 Infiniti G35 comes with a powerful VQ-series 3.5-liter DOHC V6 engine, which produces more than 300 horsepower and can be married with a set of transmissions, including a choice of a five-speed automatic with manual shift and Downshift Rev Matching or close-ratio six-speed manual.
The new G35 sedan also features intelligent all-wheel drive system, standard Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition, available Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS), wood trim and Intelligent Cruise Control with Preview Braking.
There is also a RearView Monitor, a touch screen navigation system with available real-time traffic and the audiophile-quality Infiniti Studio on Wheels by Bose, combining 3-way front door speaker array using 10-inch woofers with an audiophile quality head unit incorporating a 24-bit Burr Brown Digital Audio Converter.
In its press release Infiniti says that G35's exterior also features unique white-and-violet Fine Vision gauge illumination.
The revamped 2007 Infiniti G35 will go on sale in November. Its price is yet to be announced, but it is safe to guess that it will be slightly higher than $30,000.
