The new Caterham Superlight R400 to Go into Production in July
The British Caterham officially presented its new Superlight R400 race-car with a street license. The new R400, which will be built around the fresh Cosworth-designed 2.0-liter 210bhp @ 7600rpm and 150lbft of torque at 6300 rpm engine, born to supersede the older Rover-based Superlight.

In its press release Caterham says that the new R400 weighs less than 525 kg, so the new R400 is powerful enough to reach 60mph in just 3.8 seconds. It's not that good as the new Caparo T1, but anyway is very good for a street car that costs mere £26,995.

Caterham plans to begin production of the new R400 in July. You can place your order right now.
