2008 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 unveiled in Geneva
Look, who's coming! The Italian brand has decided to unveil its new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 supercar at the motor show in Geneva. Equipped with a 4WD Viscous Traction system mated to a powerful 5.2-liter V10 engine, the vehicle is the first real competitor to the last year's Ferrari F430 Scuderia street-legal race car.
The engine, Lamborghini is reporting in its press release, develops 560 hp available at a pretty much impressive 8000rpm, and churns out 540Nm of torque. So the LP560-4's 3.7 seconds of zero to 62 mph acceleration time doesn't look surprising at all. It reaches 125 mph (200 km/h) in 11.8 seconds and stops accelerating at 202 mph (325 km/h).
The Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 will be shipped with Pirelli Pzero 235/35 ZR 19 -- 295/30 ZR 19 front and rear tires, strong and lightweight aluminum double wishbones, standard Brembo brakes and 90-liter fuel tank.
Inside this low-flying jet-fighter you'll find an advanced multimedia entertainment system with USB connectivity and Bluetooth, LED daytime running lights and a TV tuner, although one might wonder, who needs a TV set in a car like this.

P.S. I would like to apologize to my readers for not updating this blog for such a long time. During a recent routine medical examination, there was a tumor found in my Thyroid gland. It finally proved to be benign but it took about two months to get the results and those two months were the longest in my life. I intend to get back to normal update schedule right away. Thank you for your patience. Truly yours, Evgueni.
