2008 BMW 635d gets ACS6 tuning kit from AC Schnitzer
German über-tuner AC Schnitzer will soon start selling its new tuning package for the facelifted BMW 6-Series coupes and cabrios. As usual, the kit is not limited to visual enhancements and also includes a comprehensive power upgrade programs for both gasoline and diesel engines.

The 4.8-liter engine installed in the powerful 2008 BMW 650i may get its displacement increased to more appealing 5.1 liters so that its maximum power output jumps from 367hp to 411hp. Top speed is also increased from 215km/h to electronically limited 250km/h.

The oil-burning 2008 BMW 635d may also receive a significant power upgrade of 24hp reaching 310 horsepower. The number of horses under the hood may be not so overwhelming but the twin-turbo diesel's maximum torque, which is increased from 580Nm to 680Nm (505lb-ft), certainly compensates the lack of hp's.

On the visual side, the ACS6 tuning kit consists of new front fascia with a sharpened kidney grille, new rear spoiler, new side skirts and a sports rear silencer with chromed tailpipe finishes. A set of 20-inch Type VI alloys finishes the picture.
