Toyota HiLux truck receives Toyota Motorsport's treatment
The new limited edition Toyota HiLux pickup truck will be officially revealed at the upcoming Commercial Vehicles auto show in Birmingham, UK. Sporting a huge 3.0-liter D-4D diesel engine with a power upgrade, the limited edition vehicle reduces the 0-62mph acceleration time by 2.5s to 10.5seconds. Impressive, but that's not what you are buying trucks for, right?
Although it still sucks a great deal comparing to the monstrous Ford F-150 500RC Roush pick-up truck, the new Toyota HiLux upgraded with Toyota Motorsport diesel engine performance kit features a power increase to 194bhp and its peak torque has also jumped from modest 343Nm to more impressive 430Nm (320 lb-ft) available from 1600 to 3200rpm.
The limited edition HiLux comes equipped with exclusive-looking 15-inch alloy wheels and stainless-steel mesh grille. Inside the truck, you'll find a two-tone leather trim with heated front seats,
The truck will go on sale in the UK this summer. Price is yet to be announced.
