Pininfarina's EV will be produced in San Giorgio

The EV, company is reporting, will be 100% electric powered by lithium-ion batteries from Bollore, a French investment and industrial holding group which interests spread from media buying to EV manufacturing.

Having a range of around 250 km (160 miles) on a single charge, the Pininfarina EV will cost some €15,000 ($24,000) without batteries that will have to be rented. The electric car will go to assembly line in the 4Q 2009 and will presumably make its official debut at the Paris Motor Show this October.
