2009 Maserati Quattroporte revealed
The 2009 Maserati Quattroporte is just a minor facelift of the famous Italian luxury sport sedan. First revealed in the year 2003, the Quattroporte V still looks young, fresh and desirable like Angelina Jolie. However, next year the car will have to stand its ground against such respectable competitors as the upcoming Aston Martin Rapide and the Porsche Panamera four-door coupes, so it definitely needs a little facial surgery.
The facelifted model, Maserati is reporting, will feature new front and rear bumpers, front grille with chrome vertical slats (just like the one on the new Maserati GranTurismo), LED-powered front and rear lights, new lower door side moldings, and new side view mirrors. Inside the car, prospective owner will find new center console as well as a refreshed multimedia entertainment system.
The car will be available in two trims. The base model will sport a 4.2-liter 400 hp V8 engine, while the top of the range 2009 Maserati Quattroporte S will be equipped with more powerful 4.7-liter 430 hp V8. Both models will share current 6-speed automatic transmission.
The refreshed car will come to dealerships in October, 2008.
