Citroen C3 Picasso MPV gets ready to launch
Citroen will soon start producing its new Citroen C3 Picasso baby MPV. Set to compete against such established players as the Fiat Idea, Honda Jazz, Lancia Musa, Nissan Note, Opel Meriva and Renault Modus, the new MPV will be based on the Peugeot 207 platform and will feature a generous 500l of luggage space.
The car is not that tiny, anyway. Citroen says that the C3 Picasso will be 408cm long, 162cm tall and 173cm wide, which makes it 1.2cm longer, 3.6cm wider and only 0.4cm lower than its main competitor, the 2007 Opel Meriva.
Future customers will have to choose among four engine options: two 1.6-liter HDi turbodiesels pumping out 90bhp and 110bhp, and two gasoline engines, developing 95bhp (1.4-liter engine) and 120bhp (1.6-liter) of power.
The car will be presented at the 2008 Paris Motor Show.
