Peugeot 308 CC: first photo session
Although initially supposed to be revealed during the Frankfurt motor show next year, the upcoming Peugeot 308 CC coupe convertible received such an enormous wave of enthusiasm among European drivers that the company apparently changed its mind and decided to officially present the car the this year's Paris Motor Show in September.
Based on the highly successful Peugeot 308 RC Z concept car, the production coupe convertible will nevertheless sport much less extravagant look. Judging on the first official photos of the car, the 308 CC will keep the 308 RC Z's 'face' but its rear half will resemble that of the normal 2008 Peugeot 308. Gone are wider rear fenders and the elongated tail lights. Say goodbye to the aggressive, but apparently highly impractical roof.
All in all, the 2009 Peugeot 308 CC will look like the 307 CC with a new face. Too bad, that the energetic and sporty concept model turned to become a bleak and uninspiring mass production car.
