Brits get Mazda RX-8 R3 with a Sports Styling Pack

Well, guys from the Islands keep getting better offerings than the rest of Europe. The facelifted Mazda RX-8 R3, for example, will be available in the United Kingdom with a new body kit, better interior and a set of new alloys.



The body kit, Mazda says in its press release, consists of new front bumper, side skirts and a rear wing. The front fenders this time lack those trademark air-extractor vents behind the wheel arches but nest the turn-repeater lights.

Inside, the RX-8 R3 now features a pair of Recaro bucket seats, a tachometer with a variable red-zone that rises as the engine comes to operating temperature, a revised instrument cluster and the new BOSE premium audio system with Centerpoint surround sound and AudioPilot noise compensation technology with an eight-channel digital amplifier.

The car is motivated by the 231PS 211 Nm rotary engine mated to a new six-speed manual gearbox.

And all of this stuff comes at a price of £24,995.
