Kia Soul MPV: new photos and specs

With its body 411cm long, 179cm wide and 161cm tall, the upcoming Kia Soul mini MPV will be 3cm longer, 6cm wider and just 1cm lower than the yet to go on sale Citroen Picasso C3 MPV. It will have to compete against the Honda Jazz and Renault Modus compact people movers.

The car, Kia reports in its press release, will be motivated by a choice of three engines, a 2.0-liter and a 1.6-liter petrol powerplants and a 1.6-liter turbodiesel with VGT.

Kia plans to start selling the Soul (ouch!) in the USA in February 2009 and worldwide in April 2009. The mini MPV will be manufactured in South Korea.
