Lotus Evora 2+2 GT will start selling next year (new photos, too)
Lotus CEO Mike Kimberley says that his new baby, the 2+2 GT Lotus Evora f.k.a. Eagle will be available to the European customers in the first half of the year 2009. Only 2000 cars will be hand made each year.
Just as some of you remember, the car will really sport Toyota's 3.5-liter V6 engine. The heavily modified powerplant will let the Lotus Evora achieve a top speed of about 260km/h (160mph) and will accelerate it from zero to 100km/h in under five seconds.
Inside the car, future customers will find lots of luxury, including hand-stitched leather, bucket sport seats and an advanced multimedia system with a 7-inch touchscreen, satellite navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.
