Electric-powered Micro-Vett Fiat e500 EV on display in London
The British NICE Car Company is going to start selling another city electric vehicle. Based on the highly popular 2008 Fiat 500 super-mini and built by the Italian EV specialist Micro-Vett, the EV will have a 70 mile (112.6 km) range and a top speed of 60mph (96km/h). This is pretty much enough for your average daily commute, but will inevitably subject you to the range anxiety panic attacks if you don't have a normal diesel-powered car in your garage handy.

The Fiat e500 is powered by Kokam's 22kWh lithium-polymer battery pack, which normally takes about 6-8 hours to fully recharge.

The electric car from Micro-Vett is equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox, air conditioning, an MP3-capable CD player with Bluetooth connectivity, air bags, ABS and 15-inch alloy wheels.

Of course, just like any ICE-powered Fiat 500, the car may be ordered with the full range of upgrades, including reverse climate control, parking sensors, sunroof, 16-inch light alloy wheels and metallic body paint.

I couldn't find any official info on the Fiat e500 pricing but guys from CAR Magazine say that it will start at ridiculous £30,000. Okay, probably not this time.
