Ford Fiesta ECOnetic will start at £11,845
With its first public appearance at the British Motor Show in London, the new Ford Fiesta ECOnetic model officially joins the Mondeo and Focus models wearing the same ECOnetic badge. Although the car doesn't feature an EV or a hybrid drivetrain technology, its eco-friendliness is undeniable since it emits just 98g of CO2 on every kilometer traveled.
The Ford Fiesta ECOnetic is powered by a 90PS, 1.6-liter TDCi diesel engine offering impressive fuel economy of 61.4 / 88.3 mpg in urban / highway driving, or 76.3 mpg in a combined cycle (the mileage, as usual, may vary).
In the U.K., the car will go on sale by the end of the year and will start as low as £11,845 for a three-door version. The five-door Ford Fiesta ECOnetic, which is equipped with the same engine and features the same fuel economy figures, will be available at a price of £12,445, which is almost 2.5 times lower than the overpriced Micro-Vett Fiat e500 EV.
