Pininfarina Hyperion based on the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe
The Pininfarina Hyperion one-off special model is inspired by the classic pre-war RR's and is based on the current Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe. It is powered by the standard 453bhp, 6.75-liter V12 engine and features zero to 60mph acceleration time of only 6 seconds.
The Italian coachbuilder, installed a canvas roof, removed the second row altogether and moved the first row and the windscreen backwards by 400mm (about 15.75 inches). In front of the cabin, there is a special holder for a custom built Girard Perregaux watch and a gun rack. So, the car is probably going to a very special customer in Chechnya or some other Russian province, I suppose.
The convertible will be officially unveiled at the upcoming Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance set to begin on August 17, 2008.
