Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG Evo edition by Kicherer
Although some people may consider tuning the beautiful Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG an act of sacrilege, Kicherer, a German tuning specialist, apparently has a dissenting opinion on this case. Its new Evo kit increases the coupe's available power from 518hp to 560hp and its peak torque also jumps from 465 lb-ft to slightly more impressive 495 lb-ft (670Nm).
With such negligible engine upgrades, the car's performance increases are marginal, too. Its 0-100km/h acceleration time decreased by 0.3 seconds from 4.6s to 4.3s and the Mercedes SL63 AMG Evo's top speed is now limited at 320km/h (198.8mph).
Of course, the car comes equipped with a carbon-fiber aerodynamics kit, which includes new front apron, a new rear diffuser with spaces for the sports exhaust tailpipes, and a new boot lid. Even side mirrors are made of carbon-fiber, although I highly doubt that the use of the super-light material serves any practical purpose.
Inside, the Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG Evo edition by Kicherer features an F1-style steering wheel with carbon gearshift paddles, additional instruments and even more carbon trim.
The car rolls on a set of 20-inch RS-1 aluminum wheels.
