500hp Dodge Hemi/Challenger SRT8 by Hurst
While not as extremist as the an in-house tuned Dodge Challenger drag race package, the new SRT8 tuned by Hurst and set to be unveiled during the next SEMA show, will nevertheless feature a formidable 500hp engine and will still be a totally street-legal car.
Details are scarce, but Hurst says that the Hurst/Hemi Challenger SRT8 will be available in four trim levels and will sport a set of five-spoke Hurst alloy wheels and a "classic" pistol-grip Hurst shifter.
Quoting Hurst spokesman Ron Flint, Edmunds.com says that first three trims of the car will be bear a $10,000 to $20,000 premium over the base model, while the top of the line "Stage 4" car will be a strictly build-to-order model and will, probably, have a much more impressive price tag.
