2009 Toyota Hilux's new 3.0-liter D-4D diesel engine is not only more powerful than the outgoing model's powerplant, it is also slightly more fuel efficient.
According to the Japanese company, the Hilux 3.0 D-4D equipped with an automatic gearbox now travels up to 31.7 mpg UK in the combined cycle, which is roughly 1.6mpg better than the outgoing version of the truck could do.
The facelifted truck will also feature new front fascia with redesigned corporate grille and more muscular bumper with larger air intakes. The 2009 Toyota Hilux will be offered in either Double Cab HL3 or Double Cab Invincible trims and will come equipped with 15-inch and 17-inch wheels respectively.
Inside the truck, you will find a redesigned steering wheel with integrated controls for the audio system; new air conditioning system with refreshed push-button controls and even an LCD display that can show information from a GPS navigation system.
