2010 Porsche Cayenne S Transsyberia will start at $70,800
Porsche is almost ready to start selling its new Transsyberia special model of its highly popular Cayenne S off-roader. Building on its success in the Transsyberia 4000-mile rally, the German company will sell the special edition SUV in the United States and Europe starting in the H1 2009.
The 2010 Porsche Cayenne S Transsyberia SUV will feature a naturally-aspirated 4.8-liter V8 engine outsourced from the Porsche Cayenne GTS model, but will get a standard Tiptronic S six-speed automatic gearbox with a 4.11:1 final drive ratio. The list of standard equipment also includes air suspension, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and a permanent AWD system with a 62% rear torque bias. A set of 18-inch alloy wheels and Cayenne S Transsyberia decals will also be included in the standard package.
For additional money, you may also order optional off-road roof lights and a special off-road package with lockable rear differential, a reinforced engine-bay guard, rock rails with integrated skid plates, and extra protection for the fuel tank and rear axle.
